INSIGHT 01

Buyers don’t need every answer immediately. They need the next one.

Buyer Journey Insight

A common assumption is that more information creates more clarity.

So when a buyer doesn’t move forward, businesses often add another explanation, FAQ, testimonial, CTA or piece of content.

But buyers don’t experience a business as a collection of information.

They experience it as a series of decisions.

At each point, they’re trying to work something out.

The buyer’s questions change

Someone discovering a coach through Instagram might first ask:

Is this relevant to me?

Once that becomes clear:

Can this person help with my situation?

Then:

What would working with them look like?

And eventually:

Is this the right option for me?

The buyer’s questions evolve as their understanding evolves.

So a journey can contain plenty of information and still leave someone uncertain—not because the information is wrong, but because it isn’t helping answer the question the buyer is trying to resolve now.

Clarity isn’t just about saying more

A useful question isn’t simply:

“Have we explained enough?”

It’s:

“What does this buyer need to understand now to make their next decision?”

A profile might establish relevance.

Content might help someone recognize a problem.

An offer page might help them determine fit.

Each touchpoint has a role in helping the journey progress.

The bigger implication

A buyer doesn’t need to understand your entire business before taking the next step.

They need enough understanding to make that step confidently.

The strongest buyer journeys don’t answer every question at once.
They help the buyer answer the next one.
